Membership

We welcome new members with or without previous bowls experience. If you are new to bowls, we are happy for you to come along and have a go (free of charge) before you decide on membership. Friday evenings are the best time for this although we can arrange other times if that would suit you.

Our membership year runs from April to March and the outdoor playing season from the end of April through until October.

The green is open after midday during the season, subject to Green-keepers permission (check the blackboard at the entrance to the rinks for 'closed rinks'). 

Friday evening club nights take place throughout the playing season and once a month outside the season. (see 'what's on' for details). 

Membership fees for the 2024 season are as follows:

New Bowler £44.00 For members in their first full season, with no previous bowling experience. (Does not apply to current or past club members or those transferring from another club or those upgrading from less than full membership status).

Full Membership £70.00 For all members under 80 years of age

Senior Membership £35.00 For those members who are 80 years or over

Junior Membership £18.00 For those who want to start early (and there's no better time) who are over 9 years and under 18 years of age.

Social Membership £8.00 For those Ladies and Gentlemen over the age of 16 who do not wish to bowl but who do wish to enjoy the social aspect of the club.

Life Social Membership £27.00 This type of membership is for those of you who know that you'll be a Social Member for the foreseeable future. It entitles you to Social Member status for life with no further fees being paid. Social members are non bowling members.

All age restrictions mentioned above relate the age of the member at the beginning of the membership year.

Home match fees for inter club fixtures are £4.00.
